With digital imagery, creating panoramas became less technically difficult, and for the time being, more popular. Panoramas have been with us from the banquet view camera, used to take large format photographs of groups at festive occasions, to the camera phone. Triptychs trace their roots back to votive images and alter pieces. For the most part I choose to view the world in a 2:3 horizontal ratio. There are times though when one standard image is not enough.
